I'm donating this painting to my school's library for future students to have something to connect to and to spread awareness of what we go through as a community. I worked VERY hard on this painting and am very proud of it.
I do like the imagery, I wish that you could somehow make that a more prevalent part of the image instead of using text. I think that anytime you add a lot of text to an image, it become really the primary focal point. And in this case it takes primary focus and really pulls you away from the interesting image in the middle. I wish that there were some way to communicate the same thing you are trying to say with actual words without actually using words. Just something to think about.
I feel bad for anyone who has to suffer with this. I'm transgender (Although right now I'm just wearing heels and booties) and at most I've heard a few chuckles and some people have rudely asked about the shoes, but it's definitely not the same in comparison to this
